Sled dog races rescheduled
The Wisconsin Trailblazers Sled Dog Club has announced that the Pine River Sled Dog Races have been postponed due to trail conditions until Feb. 12-13. They had been scheduled for last weekend but after examination by two race officials on Saturday, Jan. 1, the race trail was deemed not safe.
Ron Behm, local Pine River Sled Dog Race organizer, stated, “Half the trail is in perfect condition, the other half due to warm rains then freezing temperature are either dirt or Ice, neither are conducive to safe sled dog racing.”
