Andrew ?Bill? W. Dingess

Andrew “Bill” W. Dingess, 80, Irma, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
He was born Aug. 23, 1930 to the late John Andrew & Mabel (Jacobs) Dingess. Bill married Ruth Wagner in Chicago on Oct. 29, 1955.
Bill served in the U.S. Air Force in Libya, North Africa. Bill began his career as an engineer working with R.R. Donnelley & Sons in Chicago. After retiring as an engineer, he got into teaching, starting at Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, IL, then working in Wausau, Antigo and Lincoln Hills Boys School in the North Central Technical College Programs. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, his dog B.J., driving, attending Church and Bible Study, target practice and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.
Survivors include his wife Ruth Dingess, Irma; sons, John (Paula) Dingess, Hanover Park, IL, and Bill (Sara) Dingess, Tomahawk; grandchildren, Ryan, Steven, Aaron, and Nathan Dingess, Kristin, Spencer and Lindsay Pluger; great-grandson Ethan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Dingess.
Services were held Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at Bible Presbyterian Church, Merrill. The Rev. Robert Smallman officiated. Burial was Monday at Fairview Memorial Park in Melrose Park, IL. Memorials may be given to Bible Presbyterian Church.
