The Hatchet boys hockey team played to a 2-2 deadlock at Rhinelander for a period, but the Hodags scored twice in the second and once more in the third to seal Thursday’s 5-2 win.
“We didn’t come to play,” THS coach Jake Flohr said. “We had nine penalties and only 26 shots on goal. They wanted it more than us.”
Tomahawk also lost a 3-1 contest to Mosinee last Tuesday. The Indians were undefeated at the time, improving to 6-0 with the win.
The Hatchets fell to 3-4 overall and 0-4 in the GNC.
