At approximately 5:58 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, Merrill Fire Department was dispatched to a chimney fire on Hwy. 64 & 107 in the town of Scott.
Deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department along with assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources also responded. The fire was contained to the chimney area. Units were at the scene for over and hour and a half.
