Thursday snow causes accidents, too

Snow on Thursday caused problems on area roadways with several slide off’s and at least two crashes with injuries being reported.
Just before 2 p.m. a vehicle lost control on State Road 107 at County Road FF and struck a power pole. The driver 33-year old Jeremiah S. Burns and passenger 22-year old Melissa R. Hahn both of Wausau were injured in the crash but refused medical transport from the ambulance from Merrill that responded to the scene.
At 3:30 p.m. a two vehicle crash at State Road 17 and County Road G caused several minor injuries. A vehicle being driven by 40-year old Jessica L. Wunsch of Merrill was traveling east on County Road G when she turned in front of a southbound vehicle to go north onto State Road 17.
Both Wunsch and the driver of the second vehicle, 63-year old Daniel P. Bohman of Merrill, were transported by the Merrill Fire Department ambulance to Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center where they were treated for minor injuries. Three minor children in the Wunsch vehicle were also checked for injuries, but all were treated and released.
