Alvin passed into God’s hands at Fisherman’s Hospital in Marathon, Fl. on Dec. 9, 2010.
Al was born in Rhinelander to Alvin M. Pfister and Ruth (Aldrich) Pfister. He was the oldest of 12 children and was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Al was a WWll veteran, and proudly served as a Master Sargeant in the US Air Force. He married Earline Osborn on Feb. 4. 1944 in Grand Island, NE, then later moved to Sharon, WI, in the late 1940’s where they raised there two daughters. Al owned and operated Sharon Plumbing and Heating and was a servant of the community all the years he resided there. He served on the Sharon Fire and Rescue Squad, belonged to the American Legion and spent time as a deacon at his church. He was proud to call Sharon his home.
Al and his wife Earline retired in the Florida Keys where they were involved with the community and part time jobs.
Al worked as a dock master and then in later years he worked part time in a local gift shop. His wife Earline enjoyed working a booth at the Grassy Key flea market. Al was preceded in death by his wife Earline of over 60 years on Feb. 7, 2005.
Al is the proud father of two daughters, six grand children, twelve great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter Bonnie Kane and her husband Ralph of Elkhorn, WI; daughter Susie Taute and her husband Bob of Marathon, FL.
THIS WE KNOW FOR SURE, HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW AND LOVED HIM!
