Thomas O. Frazier, age 84, formerly of Merrill, died Monday, November 15, 2010, at Kennedy Park Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Schofield.
Tom was born July 22, 1926, in Merrill, son of the late William and Ann (Severt) Frazier. He married Bernice Schneider on September 17, 1949, in Merrill. She survives. Tom had been the Parts Supervisor and Cost Accountant for the City of Merrill Street Department. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, playing cards, and a martini every day. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Tom was a veteran of World War II, and served in the U.S. Army from 1944 until his honorable discharge in 1946. He was stationed in both the Philippines and Japan with the occupation troops.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Frazier, Schofield; two sons, Greg (Jane) Frazier, Belleville, and Steve (Brenda) Frazier, Schofield; (4) grandchildren, Tom Frazier, Alex Frazier, Nick (Tina) Geer, and Mike (Heather) Geer; (3) great grandchildren, Kiki, Hailey, and Ava Geer; (1) sister, Sally Rinka, Wausau; and nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by one brother, Bill Frazier.
The funeral will be at 12 Noon Saturday, November 20, 2010, at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Ray Connor will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Merrill Memorial Park with military rites conducted by the Merrill V.F.W. Post 1638 Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and after 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the church.
