Schedule of Merrill, Tomahawk Veterans Day observances

Merrill area Veterans organizations are holding a number of Veteran’s Day assemblies throughout the community this week.

Nov. 10

Washington Elementary School, 10 a.m.

St John Lutheran School, 1:30 p.m.

Nov. 11

St Francis School, 8 a.m.

Prairie River Middle School, 8:45 a.m.

Cenotaph Ceremony, 11 a.m., Guest speaker is Mayor Bill Bialecki. After the ceremony, participants are invited to the VFW post for lunch.

Merrill High School, 1:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. (approximate)

River Valley Bank, 4 p.m.

Nov. 12

Pine River Elementary School, 9:30 a.m.

Tomahawk

A Veteran’s Day program will be held Thursday, Nov. 11, in Tomahawk at Golden Age Nursing Home at 1:15 p.m.

A Veteran’s Day program will take place at Tomahawk High School on Thursday, Nov. 11, from 10:45 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. (Veteran Organization members are asked to line up at 10:15 a.m.)

A Veteran’s Day program will be held Thursday, Nov. 11, at River View Nursing Home at 3:15 p.m.

River Valley Bank in Tomahawk is sponsoring a luncheon on Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11. Luncheon is open to the public from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. This event is known as: “Never Forget A Veteran.”
