A lunch and learn workshop, “How to Create More Sustainable Communities,” will be held Oct. 26, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the basement meeting room of River Valley Bank, Merrill. The presenter will be Art Lersch of Lincoln County UW-Extension.
The highly interactive session will promote better understanding of what “sustainable” means when talking about communities in general and Merrill; promote better understanding of why communities should think about becoming more sustainable; increase your basic knowledge of The Natural Step (a planning method promoting sustainability; and help you learn more about what is happening on the sustainability front in Wisconsin.
The workshop is sponsored by UW-Extension and the Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce. Lunch will be served.
