Jacqueline M. Stiver, age 83, of Merrill, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at PineCrest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Jacqueline was born January 21, 1927, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Shimek) Burrows, Sr. She married Fredric D. Stiver on Oct. 23, 1954, in Pine City, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2004. Jacqueline was a homemaker, and she also worked at the former Hanson Glover Factory, Merrill. She enjoyed collecting “turtle figurines”, crossword puzzles, reading, and following the Brewers and Packers.
Survivors include her daughter, Charlene (James) Grefe, Merrill; her son, Edward (Connie) Stiver, Merrill; three grandchildren, Jodee (fiance, Jeff Christie) Stiver, Appleton, Andrew Stiver, Sr., Merrill, and Jessica (Steve) Thomaschefsky, Neenah; seven great grandchildren, Andrew, Jr., Krystin, Eric, Justin, Anna, Paige, and Cooper; six sisters, Joyce Kleinschmidt, Merrill, Lucille McEwen, Kimberly, Geraldine Mahn, Green Bay, Honey Weber, Merrill, and Barbara Simpson and Sally (Paul) Robbins, both of Luxemburg; and five brothers, Stuart (Mildred) Burrows, John Burrows, Bill (Delores) Burrows, and Ronald (Melinda) Burrows, all of Merrill, and Thomas Burrows, Oshkosh. Jacqueline is preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Tollefson; and also by three brothers, Donald, Pat, and Arthur, Jr.
The funeral will be at 7:00 P.M. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. Philip Schneider will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in Snow Hill Cemetery, Town of Scott. Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
