Paula J. ?Sis? Stickler

Paula J. ‘Sis’ Stickler, 60, of Merrill, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at her home under the care of her family and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.
Paula was born June 16, 1950, in Stevens Point, daughter of the late Donald and Audrey (Scantlin) Neumann. She had most recently worked at Champs Restaurant in Merrill, and had previously worked at Pine Ridge Restaurant in Merrill. Sis enjoyed working crossword puzzles and listening to County Western music. She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Beatrix. Sis will be remembered as a woman with a big heart and a wonderful sense of humor.
Sis is survived by one son, Jason (Holly Hassel) Homerding, Wausau; granddaughter Beatrix Homsel; special friend, Cliff Roberts, Merrill; brothers, Robbin (Shirley) Pichelman, and Burl ‘Stub’ (Gail) Scantlin, both of Merrill; sister-in-law, Diane Pichelman, Merrill; and brother-in-law, Dale Heinz, Merrill. Sis was preceded in death by son, Kim Stickler, in February of 2010; sisters, Gloria Neumann, and Darla Heinz; brother, Rodney Pichelman, and special friend Charles “Loafer” Graap.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. The Reverend Linda Schmidt, of Ascension Episcopal Church, Merrill, will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
