Michael G. Patraw, 57, of Merrill, died Monday August 30, 2010 at Cady Home in Wausau. He was born May 22, 1953 in Rice Lake to the late Darrell & Lorraine (Thorson) Patraw.
Mike had traveled with the carnival for many years and had also worked in Chicago selling christmas trees and pumpkins He previously managed the Timber Inn Motel in Phillips. Mike loved to socialize at large gatherings, and he was always making new friends. He also enjoyed cooking, fishing, appreciating the outdoors but especially loved being with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include four children: Theresa Anthoney, Chris (Heather Hulke) Patraw, all of Merrill, Michael (Savannah) Patraw Jr, North Carolina, and Katie Heisler, Wausau; his companion: Sue Addington, Merrill; sister: Mary Ellen (Dwaine) Erickson, Superior, WI; brother: Steve (Jill) Patraw, Merrill; three grandchildren: Ashley, Thomas & Sawyer; one great-grandson: Caiden; nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Darrell & Lorraine Patraw; two sisters: Jean Knutson and Carol Patraw; and three brothers: William, Thomas and Mark Patraw.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 3, 2010 at 5:00 PM at Waid Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. The Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
