Elaine M. Boettcher, 92, of Merrill, formerly of the Town of Pine River, Lincoln County, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill.
Elaine was born May 1, 1918, in Merrill, daughter of the late Alfred and Minnie (Sell) Kohnke. She married Alfred E. Boettcher on April 30, 1938. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1957. Elaine had dairy farmed in the Town of Pine River. She had also worked as a secretary at the former Pine River Co-op. Elaine was a member of St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, Merrill.
Survivors include daughters, Sandra (Victor) Prueser, Cottage Grove, MN, and Joylyn (David) Meyer, Merrill; grandchildren, Lyn (Larry) Nutzman, Cottage Grove, MN, Mark Prueser, Brainerd, MN, Brent (Jennifer) Prueser, Brainerd, MN, Jody Meyer, Merrill, and Jeremie (Renee) Meyer, De Pere; great-grandchildren, Jena Nutzman and Derek Nutzman, both of Cottage Grove, MN, and Julia Meyer, De Pere; and brother, Elroy E. Kohnke, Merrill. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred; her grandson, Jonathon Meyer; sisters, Betty Hahn, and Phyllis (Arnold) Schiller; sister-in-law, Virginia Kohnke; and brother-in-law, Ted Boettcher.
A private graveside service will take place at a later date. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
