Merrill hosts volleyball scrimmage
The Merrill girls welcomed Rib Lake, Marathon and Rhinelander to the MHS Fieldhouse on Saturday for a volleyball scrimmage, and accomplished much of what they set out to do, as new coach Steph Nelson experimented with her line-ups. “Really today is probably the most confusing day for the girls because I’m putting random girls in random places to try new things,” she said. “The girls look pretty good for their first scrimmage. We just need organization and getting things under control. Having these three teams for a scrimmage is perfect. We seeing enough teams, but not so many that my list of what to work on isn’t getting too long. These teams are good teams.”
