Judd A. Franson

Judd Arnold Franson, 70, of Wausau, Tomahawk, and Yuma, AZ, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at his home, 13144 El Camino Del Diablo, Yuma, AZ in the care of hospice.

Judd was born on June 18, 1940 in Wausau, to the late Oscar Wilham (Karlshamn, Sweden) and Lavina Elizabeth (Racine, WI). As a lifelong resident of Wisconsin, Judd married Dianne Faye Thompson on Saturday, June 17, 1960 at Wesley Methodist Church in Wausau.

Upon retirement from being a Local 139 Operating Engineer for over 40 years, Judd and Dianne moved to Yuma, AZ to enjoy the year round weather. Judd biked, swam, enjoyed Nascar and being a member of the local Moose Lodge. Judd will be deeply missed by family and the numerous friends that he has left behind.

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Judd is survived by his wife, Dianne; sons Todd, Tomahawk, Troy (Dawn) Tomahawk, daughter Tami (Rick) Unertl, Lake Tomahawk; brother Carl (Marlene), Athens; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Judd was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Terri Jo “TJ” Franson, brothers Kenneth and Oscar Jr., and sisters Irene and Vivian.

Services will be announced for family and friends at a later time and cremation is scheduled by Desert Valley Mortuary (Yuma, AZ). Online condolences may be expressed at [email protected].
