3 people injured in 2 separate crashes last week

Three people were injured in two separate two-vehicle crashes last week on county roads.
A two vehicle crash last Monday afternoon injured one person. Just after noon a vehicle being driven by 49-year old Henry Jacobsen of Merrill was west bound on County Road C, Jacobsen crossed the northbound lanes of US Highway 51 and when he went to cross the southbound lanes to travel onto North Star Drive he t-boned a van being driven by 21-year old Joseph G. Cobb of Lac Du Flambeau.
The van Cobb was driving rolled over several times before coming to rest on its side. Cobb was transported by the Merrill Fire Department ambulance to Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center for treatment of minor injuries. Jacobsen was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
A two vehicle crash last Tuesday afternoon in the Town of Merrill left two people with minor injuries.
At 1:20 p.m. a vehicle being driven by 46-year old Mitchell G. Doescher was traveling south on State Road 107 when Doescher went to turn east onto Hillside Drive he was struck by a north bound auto being driven by 59-year old Elmer G. Engel.
Both Doescher and a passenger in the Engel vehicle, 34-year old Jeffery J. Engel, were transported by the Merrill ambulance to Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Doescher was cited for failing to yield the right of way while making a turn.
