Gorgeous weather is forecast for Wednesday, Aug. 4, and the Merrill City Band is ready for it after being rained out on three occasions this summer. The group will be performing on the lawn on the south side of Bell Tower beginning at 7:30 pm. The setting among the trees is perfect for an evening of marches, music from musicals and movies, and more. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and perhaps even help support the “Relay for Life” by splurging on a little lemonade and popcorn. Treats for the tummy and the ears, all on a beautiful summer night.

The following week, Aug. 11, the group is scheduled to perform at Stange’s Kitchenette Park at 7:30 p.m. for Crazy Daze. Join the band for an evening of costumes, craziness, and camaraderie.

This will be the final summer concert of the 2010 season. The band will make its final appearance in its 99th year of existence at Merrill’s Labor Day parade. The public is invited to attend any and all events.
