Osero elected Legion District Commander

Dan Osero of Tomahawk, will begin his term of Commander of American Legion Department of Wisconsin, District 11 Commander when he is sworn in at the State convention the weekend of July 17 in Wausau. As District Commander Dan is the direct link between the local post and the Department of Wisconsin. He represents 30 posts and approximately 4,000 Legionnaires. The posts are located in a seven county area and include Ashland, Iron, Lincoln, Taylor, Price, Oneida and Vilas counties. The District Commander is responsible for the flow of information from the Department of Wisconsin to the posts and from the posts back to the state headquarters at Portage. Dan was elected by the delegates from the 30 posts in the district at the midwinter conference and will assume the duties of District Commander from present District Commander Joe Story also of Tomahawk Post 93.
