The Merrill Baseball Program will hold their annual Merrill Baseball Hall of Fame (HOF) night on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Merrill’s Historic Athletic Park, 500 Logan St. in Merrill. The HOF ceremony will be held at approximately 6:30 p.m., taking place between the two ball games in the American Legion Tournament scheduled for that night.
This year’s program will welcome three new members to the HOF and honor two Merrill teams for their accomplishments.
Jeff Beyer, Mike Helmuth, and Dave Pyan will all be inducted into the Merrill Baseball HOF and have their names engraved on the HOF plaque on the historic granite wall at Athletic Park. Beyer and Helmuth are being recognized as players, and Pyan is being recognized as player, coach, and contributor.
The Merrill High School (MHS) Varsity Baseball Teams that won the 1990 Wisconsin Valley Conference Championship and the 1991 WIAA State Tournament will both be recognized during the ceremony, and all members of those teams are invited to come and be honored and to take part in the induction ceremony.
Past HOF inductees are also invited to come and be honored and will be recognized during the ceremony, and HOF inductees who have passed away will also be honored with a moment of silence.
