Trinity School welcomes new Technology/Language Arts teacher

Trinity Lutheran School’s newest teacher, Britnee Fear, will be teaching technology to all Trinity Students as well as middle school language arts. Born in North Platte, Nebraska, Miss Fear attended public school in Hershey, Nebraska. She loves music, and has been singing since she could talk. She learned to play the tuba in fifth grade, and continues to this day. She grew up in a blended family with seven siblings, five sisters and two brothers.
After high school graduation, Ms. Fear enrolled at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, pursuing a degree in middle level education. Although active in her Christian faith during her high school years, it was during her years at Concordia that Miss Fear learned more about Lutheran doctrine and faith. She took confirmation classes and was confirmed before the start of her senior year.
You may think that Miss Fear has traveled far from her home to join us here in Merrill, but she is a world traveller, having been to China twice. She taught at an ESL (English as a Second Language) summer camp teaching English in Shenzhen (the third largest city in China) in 2017, and completed her student teaching in Shanghai last spring. She found the people she met in China to be amazing, and also enjoyed Chinese food. During her time there, she was able to experience both the modern cities she lived in and an ancient water town (Zhugiajiao), which remains much the way it was in the 14th century. One memorable experience was being on the 119 floor of the world’s second tallest building!
She is looking forward to teaching in a Christian environment, and feels that sharing her faith with her students is the most important aspect of her new position. She looks forward to helping the students learn as they explore the complexities of the English language. Miss Fear can’t wait to meet students, staff, and become involved in the church community. Welcome, Miss Fear!
