Emilie J. Strohm, 81, formerly of Merrill, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Sturgeon Bay, under the care of her family and hospice services. Emilie was born June 6, 1938, in Merrill, daughter of the late Henry and Louise (Savaske) Plautz. She married Roy L. Strohm on May 4, 1957 in Merrill. He survives. Emilie was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, working on crossword puzzles, reading, and crafting. Emilie especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Emilie is survived by her husband, Roy Strohm of Sturgeon Bay; daughter, Julie (James) Condra of Sturgeon Bay; seven grandchildren, Benjamin Condra, Andrew (Erin) Condra, Mark (Josephine) Condra, Michael Condra, Hannah Condra, David Condra and Jonathan Condra; four great-grandchildren, Athena, Roman, Sage and Violet; sister, Leora Rash of Pennsylvania; and brothers, Richard (Darlene) Plautz and Roger (Patsy) Plautz, both of Merrill. Emilie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Louise Plautz; sister, Marion; and brother, Charles.
The funeral service for Emilie will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. James Condra, her son in law, will lead the service.
