The Relay for Life of Merrill will kickoff at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, August 9 and last through 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 10 at the Merrill Festival Grounds.
Registration begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, followed by an opening ceremony at 6 p.m. A survivor recognition lap will follow, along with a luminaria ceremony at 9 p.m. A fireworks celebration is planned for 9:30 p.m. Saturday night. The Merrill Rotary Club will provide breakfast on Saturday morning, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Drawings are planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, with the event closing to follow.
The Relay for Life represents HOPE that those lost to cancer, will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day; cancer will be eliminated.
