Neff named new Member Services rep for Merrill chamber

The Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that their new Member Services Representative has been hired and started on July 22. The new team member is Ken Neff. He will be working part-time visiting members, meeting with potential members and working on some tourism and events.

Ken Neff

Many of you will recognize Ken as the former Merrill Police Chief. Ken was with the department for 35 years prior to his retirement in 2017. He is still active in the community, currently serving as President of Lincoln County Crime Stoppers, member of Merrill Adult Diploma Academy Governance Board, Merrill Lion’s Club, Board of Trustees for Pine Crest Nursing Home and member of Merrill Eagles Club.
“We are very excited to have Ken on our team,” said Debbe Kinsey, Merrill Chamber CEO. “It is not often that anyone can find someone so well known in the community, to fill a highly visible position at the Chamber. That connection will be very beneficial for Ken and our members.”
“I’ve really enjoyed retirement for the past year and a half” Neff said. “I’ve been busy hunting, making maple syrup and most importantly spending time with our grandkids. But with Lori still working, I’ve missed some of the interactions with the public and the chamber has opened that door for me.”
Ken will be working 20 hours per week. Stop in and welcome him.
