Severe thunderstorms are projected to impact the Merrill area.
According to the National Weather Service office located in Green Bay, a Severe Thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 8:30 p.m tonight, for Lincoln County as well as neighboring counties, including Marathon and the southwestern portion of Langlade county.
At 7:41 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Tomahawk to 6 miles southeast of Rib Lake, to near Dorchester to near Spencer, to near Neillsville, moving east at 60 mph.
Hazardous conditions possible with the warning could include 70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
People outside are advised to move to a shelter or inside a strong building and avoid windows.
