MAPS welcomes new principal to Kate Goodrich Elementary

Merrill Area Public Schools is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Elementary Principal at Kate Goodrich for the 2019-2020 school year.
Amy Stutzriem has been hired as the new Elementary Principal for Kate Goodrich Elementary School. Amy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish from UW La Crosse. She completed her Master’s Degree in Special Education in 2015 from University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. Amy has taught students of all grade levels and all settings including the regular education, special education and at-risk environments. She has 16 years of teaching experience and was recently an interim elementary principal in the Wausau School District.
In her free time, Amy enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
Amy is eager to become a part of the Merrill community and advocate for every child at Kate Goodrich Elementary School.
“We are fortunate to welcome Amy to the district as she brings valuable experiences to the Kate Goodrich Principal role,” said Superintendent Dr. John Sample. “She is greatly committed to the success of all students.”
