Minor injuries reported in morning rollover crash on US 51, juvenile driver in custody

A 15-year old male juvenile reportedly sustained minor injuries and is in the custody of Secure Juvenile Detention, after leading deputies on a brief vehicular pursuit Monday morning.
According to a press release issued by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 9:08 a.m. Monday morning, July 1, the Sheriff’s Office’s E-911 Communications Center received a call of a vehicle operating in a reckless manner while northbound on US 51. When deputies located the vehicle, the vehicle was reportedly traveling at speeds in excess of 90 mph. A shot chase ensued before the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over at US 51 and CTH D, in the Town of Bradley.
The driver, a 15-year old juvenile male was treated for minor injuries and taken into custody. He was later transported to a juvenile detention facility in the southeastern part of the state.
The vehicle was determined to have been stolen from Fox Crossing, Wis. in Winnebago County. Charges of Operating without Owner’s Consent, Felony Fleeing and Eluding and multiple traffic citations will be filed with the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office.
