Bluejay kickers honored at year-end banquet

The Merrill girls soccer team held their annual year-end banquet on Sunday, June 2, at the Merrill High School. The banquet allowed the Jays to celebrate their accomplishments from this year one more time, including the programs first playoff win in 12 years, defeating Antigo 3-0 in the regional semifinal.
At the banquet, two Merrill seniors were recognized for their stellar play this season, earning All-Wisconsin Valley Conference honors. Goalkeeper, Kaylee Bowe earned second team All-WVC, while Ally Tabor, a defender, also earned second team All-WVC.
“Well deserved honors for these two,” said Merrill head coach Kyle Hahn. “They’ve worked hard and played consistently well all season long, especially in the Valley and other coaches clearly took notice. I’m proud of their dedication to the girls’ soccer program and the leadership and example they’ve provided.”
