The Merrill High School Auditorium was filled on the morning of Monday, May 27, for the annual Memorial Day service.
The service started with the posting of the flags, done by the VFW Post 1638 honor guard. The Merrill City Band, accompanied by Saydi Stewart, Tiffany Bucheger, Josh Olson, and Jim Bjorklund, then performed the National Anthem. The laying of the wreaths followed, with a moment of silence concluding the ceremony.
