The Maine Lions Club recently presented a $3,000 check to the Northwoods Veterans Post.
As a reminder, the Northwoods Veterans Post (NVP) will be a handicap accessible building for eight essential service organizations. VFW 1638, American Legion 46, AmVets 2000, DAV 29, VFW Auxiliary, Boy Scouts 503, Girls Scouts, and Cub Scouts 503 are uniting in effort to secure the vital roles of our veterans and scouts by empowering them and their families. This post will be available for medical support, meetings and training of all like organizations in the region. It will also be home to a national registry for the military Chaplain Corps.
