Class of 2019 bids farewell to MHS
On Friday evening, the Merrill High School Fieldhouse was flooded with students and community members, to watch the graduation of the 2019 class. 204 students crossed the stage to get their diploma in front of friends and family. The Merrill students selected English teacher Guy Pawlicki to speak. Pawlicki reflected on his time with the students, while also giving out some friendly jabs to his son and daughter, who both graduated from Merrill this year.
Student President Gabe Akey later spoke at the podium, taking his fellow seniors down memory lane. Akey reminisced with his classmates about everything from freshman orientation, to struggling with college preparations.
