On Friday night the six youth Merrill Basketball players who successfully completed the 10,000+ Summer Shot Club were recognized during halftime of the boys varsity basketball game.
The 10,000+ Shot Club is open to students who will be entering grades 4-8 following the summer they complete the program. To qualify, students needed to shoot 10,000 or more shots throughout the summer. The shot club calendar began the first of June and finished the last day of August.
The Summer Shot Club record for most shots was broken this summer by Troy Mootz, who totaled 60,160 shots.
