Park City supports cemetery cleanup effort

While the search continues for the vandals of Memorial Park and Saint Francis cemeteries, Park City Credit Union matched $2,000 in contributions toward the cleanup effort. The two properties were vandalized in July, destroying more than 100 headstones.

The damage could amount to more than six figures, according to Merrill Police Chief Corey Bennett.

“This is a truly an unfortunate and devastating event for the town of Merrill,” said Park City CEO Val Mindak. “Over the past few weeks, however, we’ve been thrilled to see our community come together to support the cleanup efforts. We hope the support continues to pour in for restoring these two cemeteries.”
