Duane J. Puphal, age 69, of Saxeville, WI passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 7, 2018.
Dewey was born in Merrill, WI on October 7, 1948, the son of the late Henry and Bernice (Liesman) Puphal. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was carpenter in home building and remodeling. He loved woodworking and working on his lawn.
Dewey is survived by his siblings: Eileen (Walter) Richard, Tucson, AZ; Henry (Arleen) Puphal, Portage, WI; Betty Boyd, North Carolina; Sally (Dale) Boyd, Whiting, WI; Vicki (Ken) Drost, Crandon, WI; Reuben (Darlene) Puphal, Merrill, WI; Gloria Trzbestski, Merrill, WI and Jean Robl, Merrill, WI. Dewey is also survived by many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 nephew.
Military Graveside Services will be on Friday, January 12 at 1 PM at the Main Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, WI with burial in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
