Diane Marie Strand, age 58, of Merrill, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at her residence in Merrill, WI. Diane was born on December 13, 1958 to Myron Sr. and Blossom (Mischnick) Strand in Lombard, IL. Her most important and cherished role was being a mother. She loved her girls and grandchildren. With a loving heart, she was always happy to talk on the phone to family members and friends. Her faith and love of God provided her strength and encouragement.
She loved to camp, fish and enjoyed her time living at Park Place. She will be deeply missed. Diane is survived by her daughters: Kim (Dan) Scieszinski, Kendra (Bucklin) Atkinson, Heidi Giacalone, and Christina Thompson (Paul Fandre); grandchildren: Elijah, Nathaniel, Kiera, Noah, Jessica, Hunter, Samantha, and Archer; her mother: Blossom Strand; brothers: Myron Strand Jr., John (Eva) Strand, Steve (Terri) Strand, and Daniel (Jill) Strand; sisters: Ann (Barry) Litke, and Mary (Charles) Haenel; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father: Myron Strand Sr.; grandmother: Theresa Mischnick; and nephew: Jason Strand.
Visitation for Marie will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 3-6:30 p.m., with the service to follow at 6:30 p.m. all at Waid Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
