Heather Ann Evenson

Heather Ann Evenson was on this Earth for only a short time, always striving to experience the most out of life.  She was a gifted artist and specialized in mixed media art creating unique pieces of art, jewelry and cards.  When Heather started a project, she was “all in” until it was perfect.

Heather was born January 11, 1978 in Wausau to Bill and Marilyn (Wetterau) Evenson.  She grew up in Wausau and was a 1996 graduate of Wausau West High School.  In her younger years, Heather was a member of her brother Chad’s , Pit Crew during his stock car races.  She cooked and waitressed at several area restaurants which included Bill’s Fine Food, The Wausau Club, 2510 and JaMars.  She had a passion for cooking and also enjoyed teaching others her skills.

At the age of 39, Heather passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at home.  She is now at peace and her daily struggle with Diabetes is over.

Heather is survived by her parents, Bill and Marilyn of the town of Pine River, her brother, Chad of the town of Texas, several cousins and her cat, Grizzly.

Memorial services will be 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau.  Reverend Greg Laska of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, town of Pine River will officiate.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of services.  You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
