A 38-year-old Irma man was arrested Monday evening on charges related to contact with a minor child. The man was brought to the Lincoln County Jail where he was charged with two counts of first degree sexual assault of a child. The man remains in the Lincoln County Jail after a Lincoln County Judge set a $50,000 cash bond.

A 62-year-old Merrill man was arrested Monday evening after deputies received a report of an impaired driver. The man was taken into custody for a third offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and also charged with misdemeanor bail jumping. He was held until Tuesday night when he was able to post a cash bond and be released.

A 27-year-old Phillips man was arrested Thursday evening on a criminal traffic charge. When a deputy located a vehicle in the ditch and confirmed who was driving, he arrested the driver on a second offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was later released to a responsible party.

A Lincoln County Deputy received minor injuries Thursday evening after a two car crash in the City of Merrill. The deputy was responding to an emergency call using his vehicles lights and siren when a vehicle traveling south on Center Avenue turned in front of the squad at East 6th Street. The squad car received extensive damage in the crash. The other motorist was not injured, the injured deputy returned to duty later that night.

A 79-year-old Gleason man was arrested late Thursday evening after a two car crash in the Town of Schley. Deputies responded to State Rd. 17 and County Rd. C at 7:40 p.m. after cell callers reported the crash. The 79-year-old driver displayed indicators that he was intoxicated. After refusing field sobriety tests, he was taken into custody for a third offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was later released to a responsible party.

A 21-year-old Appleton man was arrested early Saturday morning on a disorderly conduct charge. Deputies responded to a State Rd. 17 in Gleason after a report was received at 5:30 a.m. of a disturbance in which a car window was broken. The man was brought to the Lincoln County Jail where he was able to be released after posting a cash bond.

A 16-year-old Tomahawk woman was injured after a single vehicle crash on County Rd. D at Cliff Road in the Town of King. She was transported to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital. The Tomahawk Fire Department assisted at the scene.

A 48-year-old Menasha man was injured after an ATV crash Saturday afternoon in the Town of Harrison. Tomahawk EMS, Tomahawk Fire Department and deputies responded to County Rd. B near Parrish Road after the crash was reported at 3:05 p.m. He was transported to Ascension Sacred Heart for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.

A 20-year-old Merrill man was arrested early Monday morning on drug charges. A deputy stopped a vehicle on E. 3rd Street at Pier Street in the City of Merrill just before midnight after he observed it traveling without headlamps. During the contact, deputies located marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a back pack. The man was brought to the Lincoln County Jail where he was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Unable to post bond, he remained in the Lincoln County Jail awaiting a Monday bond hearing.

The number of car deer crashes is up with 10 being reported this past week. A Tomahawk woman struck a bear on Thursday evening on County Rd. A in the Town of Harrison. An Oshkosh woman struck a bear on Thursday evening on US Hwy. 51 south of County Rd. S.
