The NTC Promise will continue during 2016-17 academic year

Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is pleased to announce that the NTC Promise, an initiative providing free college tuition to qualified students, has been extended to 2017 high school graduates. The NTC Promise will continue to help local high school seniors realize their dreams of attending college while reducing financial barriers and ensuring a skilled workforce for our communities.

Through the generosity of the NTC Foundation and business and individual donors, the cost of tuition and fees will be covered by donated funds for eligible participants after federal and state financial aid (excluding loans and work study) and scholarships have been applied. The NTC Promise provides up to four consecutive semesters of tuition free attendance for qualified students (up to 15 credits per semester; does not include summer semester) who meet ongoing Promise requirements.

“When we unveiled the NTC Promise last year, we opened the door to higher education so students had hope for a brighter future,” said Dr. Lori Weyers, President of NTC. “This year, we are thrilled to continue to hold that door open for the next generation of high school seniors.”

Interested students must apply to the NTC Promise and for admission to NTC between September 1 and December 1, 2016. To learn more, attend one of the upcoming information sessions, including a session during NTC’s Community Open House at the Wausau campus on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
