Charges filed Lincoln County Circuit Court

Debra A. Christie, 60 of Merrill- was charged August 23 with a Felony charge of Strangulation and Suffocation and Misdemeanor charges of Battery, Disorderly Conduct and Intimidation of a Victim to Dissuade Reporting.
According to court records, Christie was involved in an August 17 incident in the city of Merrill, during which she reportedly became involved in an alterctaion with another party. During the altercation, Christie reportedly grabbed the victim by the throat and squeezed, causing difficulty in breathing for the victim. When the victim advised law enforcement would be notified, Christie reportedly took the victim’s phone without permission.

Shanda J. Tews, 36 of Bristol,Wis– was charged August 22 with 2 counts of Felony-Manufacture or Delivery of Schedule IV drugs and 2 counts of Manufacture or Delivery of a Prescription Drug.
According to court records, Tews was involved in an incident in the city of Tomahawk on December 2 of last year, during which she reportedly sold an entire prescription refill (30) of sleep medication (Ambien) to a confidential police informant.

Anthony E. Geiger, 63 of Merrill– was charged August 23 with Misdemeanor charges of Disorderly Conduct and Battery.
According to court records, Geiger was involved in an August 22 incident in rural Lincoln County, during which he reportedly battered another party causing facial injuries.

Anthony G. Lindsay, 57 of Tomahawk– was charged August 22 with Misdemeanor charges of Disorderly Conduct and Battery.
According to court records, Lindsay was involved in an August 20 incident in the city of Tomahawk, during which he was reportedly intoxicated and became involved in a verbal altercation with another party at Lindsay’s residence. The other party then departed Lindsay’s residence and returned to their residence. Lindsay reportedly went to the other party’s residence and knocked on the door. When the other party answered the door, Lindsay reportedly struck the victim in the face with his fist.
