Church Mutual raised $23,028 for Operation Homefront during Church Mutual’s annual fundraiser. Employees donated $11,514, surpassing their $8,000 goal. Church Mutual matched the employees’ contribution.
A first-time recipient of the Church Mutual fundraiser, Operation Homefront provides support to veterans and service members. Their mission is to not only care for military members, but also their families. Their support takes many forms, including mortgage-free houses, food, school supplies and other family-oriented programs.
The men and women in the military aren’t the only ones sacrificing to protect their country. “The families are serving as well,” said Darcy Clardy, regional director of Operation Homefront.
The money will go to Wisconsin families who have the greatest need.
