Investigation continues into stolen vehicle and pursuit

The Merrill Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the operator and/or occupant(s) of a stolen vehicle which fled officers on the evening of Saturday, May 28.

At approximately 9:45 p.m, an officer on patrol in the area of the roundabout and East 1st Street, observed a vehicle which had been reported stolen out of Marathon County earlier in the day.

The vehicle then came to a stop in a residential driveway before the occupants fled on foot. Investigating officers employed the assistance of a K9 unit to help track the suspects, to no avail.
