Joe Williams was recently promoted to general manager at the Merrill Culver’s restaurant, owned by Joe and Lori Wakefield.
Williams started working at the Merrill Culver’s in September 2012 while he was attending Merrill High School.
“I started as a team member, working part-time in high school on the grill and fryers, and worked my way up,” Williams said.
Now, as the restaurant’s first general manager, Williams enjoys working with the young team members; for many of them this is their first experience in the workplace.
“I like making a difference for the team members,” he said, “teaching them how the real world works.”
Customers are the number one priority for Williams.
“It’s all about the guest experience and making them happy,” he said.
As general manager, Williams is involved in everything on the business side as well as the customer side.
Joe regularly attends his area market meetings quarterly in Wisconsin Dells. He has attended all the level manager classes at Culver’s Franchising in Sauk City, Wis.
His goal is to own and operate his own Culver’s restaurant in the future.
