Wednesday morning, city and Nortrax officials gathered at 601 South Pine Ridge Avenue for the groundbreaking of the company’s new 22,500-square-foot Merrill facility.
According to Nortrax General Manager Matt Hanson, the company chose Merrill based on several factors.
“We have existing facilities in Mosinee and Monico, and Merrill just made sense as a location to consider in consolidating those facilities,” Hanson said. “We ended up finding a prime piece of land located very close to a major highway and everything fell into place for us. We are excited for our Merrill facility to provide effective service to our northern and southern John Deere customer bases.”
The project has an anticipated completion date of next spring and will employ 21 people in various sales and service occupations.
