Calling all winter enthusiasts… please join The Friends of the River Bend Trail for a walk/snowshoe hike on the River Bend Trail, Saturday, Jan. 23 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. You are welcome to start at either end of the trail or the middle of the trail (by Weinbrenner Factory Shoe Store), but we suggest you begin at the trailhead (which is located at the south end of Park Street).
Hikers or snowshoers can hike as far as they like and finish back at the trail head where there will be refreshments and a bon-fire. Because not all of the trail is lighted, we suggest you bring along a flashlight. The trail can accommodate both walkers and snowshoers as part of the trail is plowed. This event is free with a free will donation accepted for the refreshments.
