Fund raising provides new van for Bell Tower

A new 2016 handicapped accessible 15-passenger van arrived this week at Bell Tower Residence Assisted Living in Merrill.
The van was a result of last September’s 25th Anniversary Gala held at Bell Tower Residence. The gala was a celebration of 25 years in ministry as an assisted living community as well as a fundraiser for the new van.
Money was raised from ticket sales and donations from businesses, organizations and individuals. Premier sponsors were the Bierman Family Foundation Inc., Holy Cross Sisters, Reindl Printing and River Valley Bank. Care sponsors were Church Mutual and the Franciscan Ministries. Service sponsors were Design Effect, Dirks Group, Gerald and Emily Edmund, Maude Kautza family, Merrill Distributing, Tom and Pat Sherley, Bear and Eileen Wadzinski, Bob and Judy Weaver and Young’s Pharmacy.
“Many businesses, organizations and individuals came together to make the new van a reality,” said Bell Tower Residence’s Administrator Pat Sherley. “We are excited to use the van to better meet the needs of the residents for events, shopping or scenic rides. Adding more opportunities for our residents support our core values of compassion, community, excellence and respect.”
Bell Tower Residence Assisted Living is a ministry of the Holy Cross Sisters.
