Ashley M. Vander Waal, 30, Antigo, was sentenced Dec. 16 for fraud on a gas station. She was fined $114.50 for the incident that occurred in September 2014.

Geoffrey J. Graap, 55, Merrill, was sentenced after probation revocation on Dec. 17 to 18 months in prison and 24 months extended supervision on stalking charge from 2013. Graap was found guilty by a jury in January 2014 and placed on three years probation in May 2014. On additional charges of battery and disorderly conduct stemming from an October 2015 incident, Graap was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 24 months probation, $243 court costs and AODA.

Darold R. Crass, 33, Tomahawk, was sentenced Dec. 15 for operating after revocation. He was fined $330.

Douglas M. Blahnik, 54, Merrill, was sentenced Dec. 15 after being found guilty by a jury of resisting/obstructing an officer. He was ordered to pay $243 in court costs. According to court records, officers attempted to take Blahnik into custody on a warrant June 14, 2015. He was pursued by several officers as he fled on foot and on bicycle before being arrested at taser point.

Chad A. Charbarneau, Jr., 21, Merrill, was sentenced Dec. 11 on two counts of retail theft, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered to pay $7.79 restitution and $243 court costs and placed on 12 months probation. According to court records, ate a sandwich and drank a cup of coffee at a Merrill convenience store April 10, 2015, without paying for the items. He was also suspected of a similar theft a few days earlier. When arrested, Merrill police found marijuana and two pipes in his pockets.

Cheryl Rowan, 59, Merrill, was sentenced Dec. 16 on two counts of being party to the crime of forgery. A 1-year jail sentence was stayed; she was placed on 48 months probation, and ordered to pay restitution totaling $1,263. According to court records, Rowan was involved in a counterfeit payroll check scheme in 2014. The checks, purporting to be drawn on the account of Oshkosh Correctional, were passed in Merrill, Schofield, Wausau, Neenah and Mosinee.

Melissa N. Kurth, 41, Antigo, was sentenced after probation revocation on Dec. 11 to four years prison and three years extended supervision on a burglary charge. She was placed on seven years probation in May 2013 in connection with the January 2014 burglary of a Tomahawk area tavern.

Stefan T. Ungerer, 22, Wausau, was sentenced Dec. 11 on charges of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. He was placed on 24 months probation, ordered to pay $250 restition and $243 court costs. According to court records, Ungerer caused damage to a city of Merrill residence during an argument in November 2014.

Laurence P. Raymond, 62, Tomahawk, was sentenced Dec. 11 on a charge of marijuana possession. He was fined $100. According to court records, he was found to have marijuana in his possession on a boat on Lake Mohawksin in June 2015.
