Wausau man suspected in numerous Lincoln County burglaries

Lincoln County deputies have completed their investigation into numerous property crimes and have referred felony charges against a 29-year-old Wausau man.
During the first week of May, property owners in the towns of Corning, Rock Falls and Scott began finding cabins and outbuildings broken into.
Sheriff’s detectives received information that one of the guns stolen in the burglaries was pawned at a store in Wausau. Detectives conducted several interviews before discovering the Wausau man was responsible for these property crimes as well as five burglaries that occurred in Marathon County.
Detectives also recovered over $6,000 in property that was stolen during the crimes.
The suspect has been referred to the Lincoln County District Attorney on 13 felony counts of burglary. No formal court date has been set as the suspect is jailed in the Marathon County Jail on a high cash bond after he led authorities there on a high speed chase in the first week of August.
