Milton (Milt) R Krause, age 86, of Merrill died Thursday, May 21, 2015 peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Milton was born February 6, 1929 to the late Charles and Emma (Marnholz) Krause in Merrill. He married the love of his life, Janet (Jeanne Neuens) August 9, 1959. He spent 55 beautiful years at her side. He served in Army during the Korean War. Milton prided himself on working with his hands and spent his career as a Union carpenter. Milton enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed deer hunting, playing cards, puzzles and other projects. He is survived by his wife Jeanne, two daughters Brenda (Jamie) Barrone, Green Bay; Linda Krause, Merrill; four grandchildren, Peter (Michelle) Staroska, Tucson, AZ; Eric (Jessica) Hansen, Pulaski; Heather (Nicholas) Phelps, Merrill; Bryce Barrone, Green Bay; five great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Eden, Creed, Shiloh Hansen and Aurelia Phelps; two sisters, Ethal (Vernon) Woller and Edna Heckendorf all of Wausau; sister-in-laws, Dorothy, Deloris and Caroline Krause all of Merrill , Marilyn (Rick) Seitzer of Mountain, WI. and Colette Neunes of Green Bay. In addition, Milton was a rock for many, nieces, nephews and so many others that felt the bond of family with him. Milton was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Walter, Wilbert (Laurinda), Arthur, Elroy and Earl; two sister, Mrytle (John) Sturm; Joyce (Roger) Olson.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 22 from 4 to 7 pm and again from 9:30 AM until the time of service on Saturday, all at the funeral home. A Funeral liturgy will be Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:30 am at Waid Funeral Home. Father Jim Horath will officiate. Waid Funeral Home of Merrill is assisting the family.
