Lorraine V. Kraft, 89, of Merrill, passed away Friday, February 06, 2015 at Good Samaritan Health Center of Merrill. She was born March 4, 1925 in Merrill, WI. Lorraine married Robert Kraft in 1948, he preceded her in death in 1993.
Lorraine was a homemaker and enjoyed reading. She was active in her church and the ladies group, she was a recipient of the ‘Faith Award’ from St. Stephen’s. For many years, Lorraine and Bob maintained the family farm in the town of Merrill. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as well as visiting with the coffee club.
Lorraine is survived by three sons: Stuart (Kandy) Kraft of Tuscan, AZ, Jeff (Susan) Kraft of Merrill, and Mark (Mona) Kraft of Ringle; a daughter Lisa (Jeff) Haessly of Knowlton; 7 grandchildren: Joe (Nicole) Kraft, Jill Kraft, Andrew (Betsy) Kraft, Derik Kraft, Steven Kraft, Sydney Haessly, and Ryan Haessly; 2 great grandchildren: Bailey and Lucas Mogenson; a sister Elvera Detert; a brother Milno Kufahl; a sister-in-law Marilyn Kufahl; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by three brothers: Vernon, Melvin, and Kenneth.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 13, 2015 at St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ. Pastor Missy Holdorf will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Waid Funeral Home and again from 9-10am Friday, February 13th at the church. Entombment to follow at Merrill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Lorraine’s name to T.B. Scott Library and St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ.
