Dorothy Helen (Woller) Juhlke

Dorothy Helen (Woller) Juhlke of Schofield, age 90, passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014 at Aspirus Hospital with her loving family and Pastor Ray Connor at her bedside. 
She was born June 2, 1924 to Ben and Amanda (Baguhn) Woller. On Nov. 4, 1944 Dorothy was united in marriage to Lloyd Juhlke at Zion Lutheran church Town of Maine by Rev. Walter Piehler. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this Nov. 4.
Dorothy and Lloyd farmed for many years before moving to Wausau in 1960. Dorothy worked in retail while living in Wausau.  They moved to Oshkosh in 1966 and in 1971 moved to Colorado where she and her husband owned Lloyd’s Sewing Center until retiring and moving back to Schofield in 1992. She and her husband traveled to many places including Hawaii, Alaska, Sweden, Germany and Bahama’s. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and golfing in Colorado. Since retiring she enjoyed dartball, baking, and puzzles. She belonged to the Mt. Olive Church dartball team for 3 years where she became known as the Homerun Queen of dartball setting a record that has not been tied or beaten. Dorothy and her husband met at a polka dance and danced for many years from New Ulm, MN to Merrill Polka Fest and everywhere in between. She will be remembered for her fantastic baking of desserts and candies. Dorothy was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church since moving back from Colorado.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Lloyd Juhlke, four daughters Karen Hubbard of Tucson, AZ, Sandra Szymanski of Weston, Bonnie Hart of Frederick, MD and Nancy Juhlke of Wausau. She is further survived by five grandchildren: Scott and Mark Hubbard of Tucson, AZ, Jeff Lowther of Frederick, MD, Brad (Danille) Hildebrandt of New Richmond, WI and Amy (Zhirik) Barseghian of Ladera Ranch, CA; and one step-grandson Clint (Tiffany) Szymanski of Wausau. She had four great grandchildren, Lauren and Derek Hildebrandt, Calvin and Ava Barseghian.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Amanda (Baguhn) Woller, father and mother-in-law Leonard and Irma (Harder) Juhlke, sister and brother-in-law LaVila and Norman Raasch, son-in-law Wayne Szymanski and a great grandson Jaxon Barseghian.
Services will be held at Mt. Olive Small Gathering Chapel on Thursday, Sept. 18, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. until the time of service at Noon.  Pastor Ray Connor will be officiating.  John J.
