Sign up for health insurance at library

A Healthcare Marketplace registration event will be held in T.B. Scott Free Library’s Community Room on Thursday, March 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The timing of this session is important, because after March 31, open enrollment won’t resume until October 2014.
Federally-certified assisters from SRA International, a contractor certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services, will be at T.B. Scott Library’s Community Room to enroll you for health insurance or answer any other questions about the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

The assisters do not represent any particular company. They will help you get the best coverage and price in the market for your individual situation. The library’s sessions have already helped dozens of Lincoln County residents get affordable health insurance through the Healthcare Marketplace.
Enrollment sessions generally take from 30 to 40 minutes. Bring Social Security numbers, employer and income information such as pay stubs or W-2s (for you and all family members applying for coverage), photo ID, and policy numbers for current health insurance plans covering household members.

While appointments are not necessary, you may set one up by calling SRA International, whose offices are in Wausau, at 715-218-0335.

When you arrive, assisters will help you create or check your Marketplace account, review health plans and complete enrollment. Even if you’re not ready to sign up, they’ll answer whatever questions you have.

Enrollment assistance in Spanish is available onsite, and in over 100 other foreign languages by phone. The assisters have computers to sign you up.
Refreshments are provided by Checkered Churn and First Street Coffee Station at this Scott Free event. Call the library at 715.536.7191 or check www.tbscottlibrary.org for more information.
